● Inventory & warehouses

Stock counts,
transfers and locations.

Where a number comes from, why it changed, and how to correct it without breaking the channels that depend on it.

Every SKU carries three numbers, and confusing them is the usual cause of an oversell.

On handPhysically present

What is in the warehouse right now, including units already promised to an order.

AllocatedSpoken for

Reserved against open orders. Physically present, not available to sell.

AvailableWhat channels see

On hand minus allocated. This is the number pushed to your marketplaces.

IncomingOn order

Quantity on open purchase orders, used by reorder suggestions but never sold as available.

Running a count

  1. Open Inventory and start a count for a location, a zone or a filtered set of SKUs.
  2. Enter counted quantities. Huup shows the variance against the system figure as you go.
  3. Post the count. Adjustments are written with a reason code so the movement stays explainable months later.
Counts push outward. Posting a count changes available stock, which propagates to every connected channel. Count during a quiet period if you can.

Transfers between locations

A transfer moves stock between warehouses or locations without changing the total you own. Stock leaves the source immediately and arrives when the transfer is received, so in-transit units are never double-sold.

When a number looks wrong

  • Check the SKU's movement history first — every change carries its source, whether that was an order, a count, a transfer or a channel adjustment.
  • Confirm the same SKU is not mapped to two different products across channels.
  • If available is lower than expected, look at allocations: an old unfulfilled order can hold stock indefinitely.
