The four numbers
What is in the building, including units already promised.
Held against open orders. Present but not sellable.
On hand minus allocated. This is what channels are told.
Expected from suppliers. Informs reordering, never sold as available.
How availability reaches a channel
Anything that changes available — an order, a dispatch, a count, a transfer, a cancellation — triggers a push to every connected channel that sells the SKU. Channels differ in how quickly they apply it, so a short lag between Huup and a marketplace is normal; a permanent gap is not.
Multi-location stock
Stock is held per location. A SKU's availability is the sum across the locations a given channel is allowed to sell from, which is how you keep a wholesale bulk store out of a retail channel's sellable pool.
Every movement is explainable
Adjustments carry a reason code and a source. When a figure looks wrong, the movement history tells you what changed it — an order, a count, a transfer or a channel correction — rather than leaving you to guess.
