Channels
and listings.

One product record, many channels. How Huup decides what a channel sees and what happens when a channel says no.

A product exists once in Huup. Publishing to a channel creates a listing — a channel-specific view of that product carrying the fields that channel demands. Change the product and every listing built on it updates.

What each channel asks for

Channels disagree about almost everything, so Huup pulls each one's requirements live into the listing form rather than making you memorise them.

eBayCategory aspects

Required and recommended aspects per category, plus item specifics and business policies.

AmazonBrowse nodes

Category-specific attributes, identifiers and variation themes.

OTTO MarketStructured only

No free-text title — OTTO composes the product page from your structured attributes. GPSR safety data is mandatory.

EtsyPersonalisation

Personalisation fields and made-to-order handling are supported natively.

Why a submission fails

Most channels validate asynchronously: they accept the submission, then decide. Huup tracks every submission through to its final state and surfaces the channel's own error text rather than a generic failure.

  • Missing required attribute — the category needs a field your product does not have. Fill it on the product, then resubmit.
  • Brand not recognised — some channels only accept brands from their own catalogue. Map your brand to an approved one.
  • Identifier rejected — an EAN or GTIN failed the channel's check digit or is already claimed by another product.
Silent success is not success. Some channels return "unchanged" when a push had no effect. Huup treats that as unresolved rather than done, so an old error cannot hide behind a green tick.
