Marketplace
operations.

Running channels day to day: publishing, repricing, policies and keeping submissions clean.

Publishing at volume

Publishing one product teaches you the form; publishing a thousand teaches you the failure modes. Filter to a set, check that every required attribute for the target category is populated, then submit as a batch and watch the submission view rather than the product list.

Price and stock sync

  • Stock pushes on every change to available quantity.
  • Price pushes when you change it in Huup — channels are not treated as an input, so a manual edit on the marketplace will be overwritten on the next push.
  • Per-channel pricing is supported where a channel needs a different number from your base price.
Decide where price lives. Editing price on the marketplace and in Huup at the same time produces flapping. Pick Huup as the source and stop editing on the channel.

Channel policies

Returns, postage and handling policies are defined on the channel and referenced by listings. Huup pulls the available policies in so you select rather than retype them, which avoids listings failing over a policy name that does not exist.

Watching submissions

Every publish and revise is tracked to a final state. Two habits keep a catalogue healthy: check the submission view after a bulk action, and treat "unchanged" as unresolved rather than done — it usually means an earlier error is still in force.
