Fulfillment
end to end.

Pick paths, packing, label generation and getting tracking back to the channel.

Pick strategy

Pick tasks are built from open orders and ordered by location, so the route walks the building rather than the order list. Single-line orders batch well; multi-line orders benefit most from cross-zone routing, which is where the walking time actually goes.

Packing

  • Confirm contents at the bench — this is the last point a mis-pick is cheap to fix.
  • Record package weight and dimensions; they decide which carrier services are eligible and what you are charged.
  • Split into multiple packages where needed. Each package gets its own label and tracking.

Labels

Labels are bought from your own connected carrier accounts at your contracted rates. Where several services are eligible, the cheapest compliant option can be surfaced at label time rather than left to memory. If you bought postage outside Huup, record the tracking number instead — the channel handshake is identical.

Dispatch and channel handshake

Marking dispatched pushes carrier and tracking to the channel. Carrier names are restricted to values the channel accepts, and channels with extra dispatch requirements collect them at this point rather than rejecting the update afterwards.

Returns

  • Channel-announced returns flow in with their reason codes.
  • Accepting typically triggers the buyer refund on the channel side — treat it as a commercial decision, not a filing action.
  • Stock returns to available on physical receipt, not on announcement.
