The lifecycle
- Ingested — pulled from the channel with items, addresses and payment status.
- Allocated — stock reserved from the fulfilling location; available drops and syncs outward.
- Picked and packed — grouped into pick tasks, then confirmed at the bench.
- Dispatched — label generated, carrier and tracking pushed back to the channel.
- Closed — or reopened as a return if the buyer sends it back.
Orders that are not ready yet
Some channels release an order before payment clears or before the buyer's details are final. Huup ingests these but keeps them out of picking until the channel confirms — dispatching against an unconfirmed order is how you ship something that was never paid for.
Holds and splits
- Hold — stops an order progressing without cancelling it. Allocation is kept, so the stock stays reserved.
- Split — separates lines that ship from different locations or at different times. Each part dispatches and reports tracking independently.
Buyer data
Order data includes personal data about the buyer, and channels impose their own retention rules on it. Huup applies the strictest applicable window per channel and deletes on schedule — see the DPA for the specifics.
