Prepare your Alibaba.com seller account
- Make sure you have an active Alibaba.com Gold Supplier or verified seller account with at least one storefront product published.
- Recommended: enrol in Trade Assurance (free). It significantly boosts buyer trust and is required to ingest payment-protected orders into Huup.
- If you use Alibaba.com Shipping, confirm your shipping templates are configured — Huup imports them as shipping policies.
Connect Alibaba.com in Huup
- Sign in to app.huup.com.
- Open Integrations → Marketplace, click Add New Marketplace, pick Alibaba.com.
- Click Connect to Alibaba.com. A popup opens to Alibaba.com — sign in and authorise Huup. You'll be redirected back automatically.
- Huup imports your storefront products, pending RFQs, Trade Assurance orders and shipping templates.
What syncs after you connect
Create, edit and bulk-update storefront products with MOQ, tiered pricing, lead time and product attributes.
RFQs route into Huup with buyer details, product specs and deadlines. Track quote status alongside B2C orders.
Trade Assurance orders ingest with escrow conditions, milestone status and full buyer details — ready for fulfilment.
Pack-hierarchy-aware stock: cases, pallets, container loads. A 1,000-unit order subtracts the right pack quantity.
Ocean, air and courier shipments tracked through one timeline. Customs docs auto-generated.
USD, EUR, GBP or buyer-local currency. Reconciles with Alibaba.com escrow release for clean P&L per customer.
Common issues
"Authorisation failed" after the popup
Make sure you signed in to the Alibaba.com seller account that owns the storefront. Account-team members must have API access enabled by the primary account holder.
RFQs not appearing in Huup
RFQ matching depends on your storefront category and keyword tags. Confirm your storefront is fully published (not in draft) and that you have relevant categories enabled.
Trade Assurance orders missing
Only Trade Assurance-protected orders ingest into Huup. Direct off-platform orders (wire transfer, custom terms) are not visible via the Alibaba.com API — handle these manually or via your own ERP.
Stock changes not reflected on Alibaba.com
Check the listing's last sync time. Alibaba.com's API has rate limits per category — bulk SKU changes are queued and may take a few minutes to flush.
Currency conversion looks off
Huup uses daily mid-market FX rates. For high-volume currency-sensitive sellers, lock per-buyer pricing via the storefront's tiered-pricing rules so FX drift doesn't affect quote validity.
